Your genetics

The most personal layer of your protocol.

Why your DNA matters here

Two women with identical labs and goals can need completely different protocols — because their genes change how their bodies process nutrients, hormones, and compounds. Your DNA is the one input that never changes, and it quietly shapes how well everything else works.

For example: variants in MTHFR affect how you convert folate, so we may recommend methylated B-vitamins instead of standard folic acid. COMT influences how quickly you clear estrogen and stress hormones. VDR changes how your body uses vitamin D. FTO and TCF7L2 relate to metabolism and how you respond to certain weight and glucose strategies.

When you add your genetics, your protocol stops being "good for most women" and starts being calibrated to you — with dosing and form choices tied to how your body actually works.

Upload your raw data

Your unzipped 23andMe or AncestryDNA file (.txt)

Download your raw data from 23andMe (Settings → Privacy → Download Raw Data) or AncestryDNA (Settings → Download DNA Data). We analyze a curated panel of wellness-relevant genes — your raw file isn't shared.
Don't have a raw data file? A Her Protocol genetic test you can order directly — like our labs — is coming soon.

Body composition

Not just your weight — what you're actually made of, and what it means for your protocol.

Why body composition matters here

Two women at the same weight can have completely different needs. What matters isn't the number on the scale — it's how much of you is lean muscle versus fat, and where that fat sits.

Your lean muscle mass drives your metabolism and helps set the right dose for compounds that are calibrated to it. Your body fat percentage and especially visceral fat (the deep fat around your organs) shape how we think about metabolic and hormone support. And tracking these over time tells us whether your protocol is actually working — building muscle, lowering visceral fat — in a way the scale alone never could.

Upload an InBody, DEXA, or similar scan and we'll fold it into your protocol — and track your progress each time you add a new one.
